Last night we decided to finish the Commander Lillith DLC for Borderlands 2. I opted to stream only to Twitch due to copyright bots. So far this has been my most successful BL2 livestream despite some audio issues early on. You can even watch this at up to 1440p! I think I finally found my recording/streaming sweet spot. Now I’ll have to see what other games I can pull off.
Borderlands 2
A Livestream A Day Keeps My Sanity At Bay
Here are a couple:
Last night I had fun losing myself in Skyrim, and tonight I had fun on another lesbian gaycation with best lesbian friend Yutram. We’ve decided to tackle the Commander Lillith DLC again, but with our Sirens instead of Mechronancers. It was either this or Bayonetta for the stream, and co-op sounded more fun.
My Brief Trip Through Some Borderlands 2 DLC
Over the weekend Yutram and I privately delved into some of the DLC of Borderlands 2. In an hours time we managed to fuck up a wedding, catch a bunch of worms, ruined the lives of a robot couple by stealing their wig for a quest that gave us fuck all in return, and collected tapes for an old perverted stalker. All in all a productive evening.
I did enjoy the love potion quest. I never knew Baby Goliaths could be a thing, though I shouldn’t be surprised. I think the only thing weirder than the baby in this quest was the wedding itself.
I did at least manage to record it locally. I’ll go over it at another date when I sift through the terabytes of what I’ve already recorded, still chugging away on the Skyrim Hunger Games. Will probably start posting some teasers of that next week, after I unveil the second and final part of Super Bomberman R.
Evening Open Thread
When I first woke up yesterday I contemplated getting out of bed, or staying put and playing a little game. The weather has been cold enough here that I’ve been leaving my computer on to act as both a heat source and entertainment, and my kind of entertainment is known to heat up a room or two. My muscles were too tired to do much, so I propped myself up on a couple of pillows and played AudioSurf 2 on my Steam Controller for awhile. I worked on what is turning into a nice config, it still needs some tweaking but it’s more usable than the default controller settings. I have the gyro and right touch pad enabled to act as a mouse, and if I enable the gyro I can drive my controller like a steering wheel. It’s fun, but I still need a bit of practice before I can match my score on my everyday Logitech G502.
I went through a bit of my library yesterday and revisited some other games that I’ve been neglecting, progressing a tiny bit before hitting a stuck point and going off to the next point of interest. Both for pleasure and preemptive pleasure. I went through some of my couch co-op enabled games and tried to optimize them to the best of my ability for if I ever want to invite someone over digitally or physically. I’m looking forward to getting my new Steam Controllers (assuming the orders don’t get cancelled) in the mail, if only to experiment with local co-op config building; see how well two of the same controller work together.
Yutram and I were going to play Trine last night, but that has been proving difficult with Steam Controllers and a regular mouse. I’m thinking the next time we attempt it we’ll try regular controllers (if possible). I was too tired to do any streaming last night (was still overwhelmed from Thanksgiving and Black Friday) and wanted to relax in some Borderlands 2 DLC instead… I think I’ll save that for another post, and maybe a future video.
Today was a little more productive; I did some Cyber Monday shopping, and drank lots of tea as per morning, afternoon, and evening tradition. I’ve been combining fruit teas with regular loose leaf tea to make super tea!
This morning was a Blueberry Watermelon Oolong morning. I have cranberry blood orange black tea lined up for tomorrow, though that one was already pre-mixed. Now I’m sipping just blueberry and jade green tea, both filled with antioxidants.
I’m getting closer to the finish line for this particular project. I worked on it a little bit today, will probably finish it the rest of the way tomorrow. There really isn’t much else to do on it other than some animation cleanup. Hand animating has been an interesting learning curve, and I feel like I get less and less worse with each attempt. After I finish up this project I’ll be putting together something for a New Years Eve video. To celebrate my new-ish video style I’ll be selecting the best animated bits from videos throughout the year. If anyone has a suggestion feel free to throw one my way. :melon:
You can already count on Ronald and Batman… Open Thread!
Pandora Fever
Had my longest livestream yet this afternoon/evening. Yutram and I were having a blast just blasting away at anything that moved. We finished the latest DLC and began tackling one of the other DLC’s, where we’ve discovered new hoverboat vehicles.
Other than that I made a nice breakfast, had a relaxing shower, and went through my wardrobe to refine things. I’m still good on clothes for awhile, unless I encounter that rare occurrence where I see something to add to the collection. I think tomorrow I’ll play around a bit in Sekiro or something, and then get back to SFM stuff.
Borderlands 2 Double Feature! Plus other stuff
Yutram and I pretty much had the weekend off together, and what better way to spend it than to tear into some new free DLC that recently released for Borderlands 2? It was so fun that we ended up doing an encore stream! We’ve finished it, or at least the main quest line. There are still quite a few side quests to complete.
I’m not sure why, but Unreal games (Borderlands series, AMID EVIL) that I’ve played so far don’t seem to like me stream and recording on the same system. Fortunately I have my laptop setup just in case something like this happens. There is this handy NDI plugin you can use if you have two computers in your house and a fast network connection. I streamed my desktop game to my laptop via OBS Studio, and had it livestream out to Twitch and YouTube… I’m contemplating Mixer too, but I’m not sure yet.
Aside from my own nerdy hobbies I did take the time to give myself a good breakfast, and even painted my toenails for the first time in years. Been wearing sandals moreso during the weekends due to the crazy summer weather we’re having. It was nice to have a relaxing weekend though, no pain or stress. I’m thinking next week I’ll do a little more cleaning, or perhaps some baking some breakfast muffins or something. I’m thinking of packing breakfasts for lunch since my appetite is pretty dead in the morning, and yet I still need some form of sustenance to keep going. If anything it could be an extra accompaniment to my daily yogurt lunch. I was also thinking about yogurt parfaits and smoothie bowls. For now I’m experimenting with some meal bars and shakes.
I’m thinking after work I’ll get back into animating the next video… maybe make an after work snack if I’m up for it.
Lets close this year up with games I’ve actually finished. O_o
I figured I would do something different as an end of the year blog post. I’m going to talk about games that I’ve finished this year. Yes! Out of all the games I have there are actually some titles I can honestly say that I’ve finished!
This was up there in terms of games that I could not put down at all. Every night when I got home I HAD to get further into this game. I was captivated by not only the beautiful graphics and the extremely pancake thin french fries. But also the characters and their roles in how everything played out. I kept wanting to find out more about Elizabeth, Booker and those creepy twins that followed me around.
Seriously I almost expected them to appear in some random hallway, saying “Come play with us Booker, forever and ever and ever and ev…”. Yeah… That game was one hell of a circle jerk. But I loved every moment of it. I still need to play the rest of Burial At Sea Part 2 though… and finish the other BioShock games. 😛
I finished this game as a siren, and now I’m replaying it as a mechromancer. I had a hard time getting into Borderlands 1, but that might have been because I had no one to really play with. Plus gamespy always pissed me off (but with it being steamworks now I’ll have to reconsider). I loved the writing behind Borderlands 2, all the characters were amazing and there were even moments that had me busting my gut from laughter. I think Handsome Jack has to be one of the best villains ever created! And the whole storyline was an absolute pleasure to get wrapped up in, and even more fun to play with friends and family. I intend to play all the other classes too. Still need to tackle the DLC for those, but now that the steam sale has arrived, and I’ve been passing around DLC left and right. I think I’ll be able to get around to that. I imagine by the time I play through all the classes AND finish Borderlands GOTY, Borderlands the PreSequel will be cheap enough to snatch up. 😛
I don’t have much to say about Jazzpunk because really, it speaks for itself. I’d say it’s really up there with The Stanley Parable in terms of uniqueness. It’s so abstract, nonsensical and filled with the kind of humor that you would expect from Get Smart or The Naked Gun Movies. You never really know what you’re going to encounter next in Jazzpunk. One minute you’re standing in the middle of a beach, the next you’re playing Wedding Qake, or fighting some honda.
And last but not least…
When I first saw this appear on Steam back in the winter of 2013 for pre-order I was surprised that a Metal Gear title of any kind graced the PC master race. I was aware of the fact that this release had no Snake or Big Boss… But that didn’t stop me from getting it. At the time I didn’t really know who Raiden was or where he fit into the Metal Gear universe since I never played MGS2, so I was willing to give the game a fair shake. In all honesty I liked the game a lot more than expected. Don’t get me wrong, at first it was hard for me to really get into. Not because of the lack of it being a Metal Gear Solid game, but because it was a bit hard to learn for me even on easy. But after a few bad days of work and wanting to slash through the world in anger I got a nice taste for the game as well as properly practicing the controls. Plus when this video was shared with me I suddenly had the desire to continue playing it.

It was fun. I look forward to seeing more Metal Gear titles appear on PC, and I wouldn’t mind seeing all the older ones ported over as well, and maybe even a sequel to this one. 😛
Well, that’s it for 2014. Lets see what the new year has for us, regarding gaming, technology, and real life matters. I look forward a happy, better, newer year.
Open Game Thread
I’ve been relaxing with my game collection. Starting over in Borderlands 2 as a mechromancer (just got to level 11 today!) so that’s been fun. Also played a bit of MvM earlier on my TF2 server and found out that I had some broken plugins. Unfortunately there haven’t been any fixes for them so I’ll have to wait. One gives bots access to all game weapons and the other enables multiple TF2 holidays instead of just having one. So that’s kind of a bum deal…
Oh, and I’ve also started up on Tomb Raider 3. Had a hell of a time trying to get that running in full 1080p. Had to go through an assortment of compatibility modes to get it to work properly… But like all the tomb raiders that I’ve played it’s fun! I only ever played the Playstation demo when I was a kid. Hell I even setup my controller so I could play the old nostalgic way! Even going as far as looking up all the commands to enter into my joypad. I also decided to start up on Metal Gear Solid. Aside from one part of the gunfight with Revolver Ocelot lagging during him having a raging hardon about reloading his revolver it’s been running quite nicely. Even recognizes directinput so that I can run my controller without any issues.
And finally I went to visit MOULa to see how things were going. People are still whining about the vaultwipe that had to be done awhile ago and having to do the ages again. I’ve also been reading the forums about how some have gone as far as to contemplate not playing the game anymore… I even laughed when I saw certain people striving to get low KI numbers because you know, those are still totally relevant after a decade of the games existence amirite? That and some other threads I’ve read have made me glad that I stick with other game forums. Heck, it’s sad that quite a few FPS forums that I frequent are far friendlier than the retirement home that is the Myst Online Uru Live forums.
My Linux library be growin’
Borderlands 2 for Linux is on the horizon, and tonight I also noticed that Dead Island is on the list as well. So good to see big name titles like that for those who appreciate the tux for what it is. I want to see more of this. I want to see most (if not all) of my library working under Linux.
OverlordTomala and Yutram’s Borderlands 2 Lesbian Vacation Adventure… Part 6
Yep, still tearing the shit out of Pandora!
