Found the Mars Pepsi Reserve!
I’ll try to post something slightly less retro tomorrow. 😛 But no promises.

I’ve been crafting a Commander Keen config for my Steam Deck! I’m getting tired of opening the on screen keyboard to save my progress, or answer old school dialogue windows. I also put in a radial menu for save numbers! It’s like having a computer built into a better Steam Controller. Once I’m happy with it I’m planning to make it public. There are already a few other configs to choose from on the Workshop, and I’d like to contribute! 😀
Here’s a little video. I have another one with animations that’ll be released on the weekend. :melon: I have a couple teaser pics in the Tomala Fanclub Chat and a little Discord server I put together for anyone interested.

Taken from my DOSBox Livestream. The commentary has been stripped from the video for those who wish to enjoy this old screen saver in its original form.
I forgot to post this from the other night:
We traveled back in time to an era where the internet was close to being a thing, the start menu hadn’t been invented yet, and people didn’t have smartphones to distract themselves with while driving. I had fun showing off a really old install of Windows with some After Dark screensavers. I kinda wish these would make a comeback, it was always fun to have something silly to look at in the background.
Got some much needed rest, mainly lazed about in bed this morning, had some scrambled eggs, bacon and brie for breakfast, and got around to making that salsa I mentioned in passing. Peach nectarine mango salsa. Turned out ok, but it isn’t hot enough. Will have to add more heat next time. 😛
Also helped my brother out. Taught him some basic DOSBox stuffs as he was interested in playing the old Mortal Kombat games from the 90’s. I might actually have to snag some copies myself. They’re free at myabandonware.com, which I enjoy going to whenever I feel like finding some nostalgia. Not sure why games like Doom are there, since those are still being sold.
Found a cool open source driver and UI for the Steam Controller.
They don’t have an rpm package for CentOS 7, but compiling it should be easy enough. This will be really nice for games that don’t cooperate with the Steam UI properly, IOW DOSBox which yes, I have installed under Linux. There are some old classics I’d like to play using the Steam Controller (like Jazz Jackrabbit) which gave me absolute hell under Windows.
