I’ve stumbled upon a blog recently called sorryantivaxxer, and they record the deaths of antivaxxers and showcase their online history of spreading antivax memes. Another one that’s also being shared is r/HermanCainAward, where it’s more of the same (along with a couple of ironic memes). These are the kind of people I have to work for and alongside everyday. One of my co-workers is currently dealing with long COVID, and just a few months ago he was touting about how it’s fake, and even if it is real it won’t be any different than the flu. Now he can’t even so much as stand or walk for very long. Even now he still won’t get vaccinated, and his health was never even that great before COVID. At this point I’m not even enforcing the mask policy at work; If these Y’alliban asshats want to Darwin themselves out of existence, then by all means…

I deal with these types of people on a daily basis, and having them lessen their own numbers might make the lives of everyone else a hell of a lot better. If I had any fucks left to give they’ve long since evaporated.

So, despite there being a pandemic and an escalation in cases, businesses like the one I work for are still going through with Black Friday. All day I had to reassure morons that Black Friday is still a go, and endure complaints from Karens’ and Kens’ alike because we are lacking current gen consoles to sell, or any other bullshit item that is made overseas. I think my favorite conspiracy theory I’ve heard thus far from these eternal virgins is “The damn deepstate is preventing me from buying a PS5!” these people can all go collectively die from COVID in a fire with dildos covered in glue and rolled in glass and salt for all I care. For fucks sake… I want to buy AMD’s new 6800XT and much like NVidia and the console releases it has been rendered nothing more than unobtanium for most on the quest to score one, and I’m not throwing a giant Karenfest for not getting one in my hand. I don’t get what it is about the holidays that brings a person’s inner fuckass out, other than another excuse to just treat people like absolute shit. And after having a Polyester Cockwomble at the helm for the last four years enabling these types of human excrement it’s more than clear to me that’s likely the case. I’m just glad I’m only getting a 50% dose of these douchecanoes with an immediate shower to follow.

I’m dreading this Friday. We’ve had a small handful of people contract COVID at work ever since this all started, and I would be surprised if we followed any social distancing/mask guidelines once everything starts. We already have a No Mask No Entry policy that we pretty much don’t follow despite already being fined more than a few times. I’ve learned from watching others that people are more than likely to bend to your will if you act enough like an asshole. I can’t say I’ve ever been into that kind of mentality, and I don’t understand why so many people cream their jeans to be around what would otherwise be overgrown children or malformed adults. If I had the choice to be alone for the rest of my life or never be alone but only be surrounded by assholes you can sign me up for the former; It’s better to be alone by yourself than be alone in a crowd.

Also… why the fuck are people hording toilet paper again!? We’re not even having a lockdown.

On the drive back from a milk run I noted the amount of homeless people with signs out on the road, and all in close proximity to each other. I counted about three or four, all of them had signs. One was a young skinny guy that was begging for food, said he’d take anything. Then I saw this young woman in a nice summer chair out near a crosswalk, dressed well enough for a warm summer day, sunglasses and all that, as well as a sign that said “My Birthday is in 2 Days, anything helps”. I think I had a mental moment similar to Lewis Black’s “If it weren’t for my horse” skit. I honestly couldn’t fucking tell if that was a real life troll or if she was seriously that much of an entitled killatwat. Either way, she had a smug look on her face that would suggest that she likes to shit the bed frequently, and bask in the aroma permeating the air.

I deal with the public everyday, and the public includes the homeless. Yeah, there are some that are homeless because of bad attitudes and decisions. There are also people that lost their jobs, can’t get back on their feet because no one will hire them, or they’re just too mentally fucked up to even halfway function at a shit job that will hire almost anyone with a pulse (unless it’s a dead guy up against someone that vapes cannabis oil, then the dead guy wins), and have no one else to turn to. We used to have institutions to keep these kinds of things in check, but history would say that in the 80’s that’s how we started to really Make America Great Again™ :zorak:

I’m sorry… I had a Grandmother who had to raise 7 kids on her lonesome after her husband ditched her for her best friend. I would hear stories about what they had to do to survive day to day, and how Grandma had to go from being a housewife with no experience to finding any form of work just to stay afloat. As a result my view of the poor seems to clash with everyone else… although I already clash with everyone else on other subjects and people with similar hobbies, so what have I got to lose? :v:

I used to be the kind of person that wouldn’t wish that sort of thing onto anyone, but now, living in an age where literally almost any of us could miss a paycheck or two, or have a medical catastrophe thing happen to them to completely fuck up their life… I’m tired of seeing all of these well off self entitled little shits, and wretched fuckmuffins that think they’re well off enough to be mocking the very people they could be joining in a soup kitchen line someday. Lately it seems like the only way people are able to learn anything is to have first hand experience, and to that I say bring on the brawndo mates!

Apparently while I was minding my own business today Microsoft released an AI on twitter targeted at teens, young adults etc as an experiment. After not even a full 24 hours they had to shut the bot down after it became a racist, sexist asshat. The last thing it uttered was:

I can’t fault Microsoft for this, after all this was an experiment. An experiment that shows how corrupt asshats can corrupt a machine. Brought upon by racists, sexists and anything else you could think of. I also find it interesting that you don’t really see much from the other side of the spectrum. The bot had plenty of love of Trump, Hitler, Gamergate etc but nothing much about teh ebil feminists, Hillary, gay pride etc. I mean, they say feminists and gay people are ruining our world, you’d think they would have control of Microsoft’s chatbot within seconds! 😛

Work has been keeping me pretty busy. On the brightside I had an actual weekend where I spent most of the first day in bed playing and chatting with friends (online you pervs). I would of had another day off today but I covered a sick call. On the brightside I get asked more in advance these days since my new job switch, they can’t do last minute scheduling with me which means I have more consistency and control over my job.

I’ve been getting some freaks these last couple of days. One of which, an old coot who has been pursuing me for the last nine years even after being told numerous times I’d like to be left alone… He stopped for a couple years but seems to be trying his shit again. He found out that I work mornings now and next thing I know he’s trying to talk to some of my co-workers about me and even showed up yesterday loitering next to some bluetooth speakers, giving me the “please come talk to me” look… pathetic. This is the same guy that tried to give me gifts years ago and even a letter about how I reminded him of a lover who died in his arms… I’ve been on alert again telling people what’s been going on and even giving a history lesson.

At least today I didn’t see him. Instead I had another old guy who apparently recognized me from another job, though I didn’t recognize him. He wanted to know what my job was and when he found out he was rather disapproving, because he knew a lady who lifted heavy things down at the docks with her husband. Apparently she broke two of her vertebrae and became a heroine addict… Not sure where he was going with that story. Then he started telling me about how he recently found out that he had a 24 year old son and began mouthing off about his “bitch cunt wife”, because for some reason some people seem to think that people like me are paid to listen to them… I found someone off by the TV’s that “looked” like they needed help. So I kept asking if this asshat needed any other help, and he kept prattling on… I said the same thing about 5 times while pointing that I needed to leave, I needed to leave NOW. All he did was apologize if he offended me and continued talking. Finally I told him to have a good day and walked off. Then he started speaking loudly to me about crushed vertebrae. He followed me over to the other customer and stared at us for 30 seconds, then left… I’m glad I have a midnight shift. I’ll only have to deal with the public for an hour and a half tomorrow.

When I get old I hope I’ll still have a life. Because if I end up like any of these people I think I’d rather be put out of my misery.

The whole shooting at the Umpqua Community College has been all kinds of depressing. The guy behind the shooting announced his plans on 4chan of all places, and while there were some people in the thread telling him not to do it, he was still cheered on for starting the “beta uprising”. Having read what I could of the archive before projectile vomiting I could see he couldn’t score with someone of the opposite sex. What fascinates me is the people in that thread giving their undying support, I know it shouldn’t surprise me since misery loves company and everything, but damn that’s a heaping load of misery…

But you can’t point at one thing in these cases and place blame, A lot goes into this mental behavior. Mental health care in the United States has been poor since the 1980’s, people with mental issues have problems getting the proper care they need, but they have no issues getting their hands on guns to commit these crimes. They also find people just as crazy as they are and have crazy children, then impart their mental teachings. Technology has advanced tremendously, and has made it easy for people to connect with each other, including crazies finding other crazies to enjoy each others company in their own echochambers. They become so comfortable talking like this all the time that they act out in the real world thinking they won’t get in trouble. I’ve seen guys and even some girls that fit the mold.

You know, some people say that the government is trying to control our population by using chemtrails and other means of sterilization. But that seems rather pointless when we appear to be doing a bang up job trying to kill each other.

GamerGate: The stupid continues.

You know, if you’re trying to convey a message of some kind to get people over to your side, like how GamerGate is only about fighting for “ethics in game journalism” for example? You probably shouldn’t make comments like these to people who are afraid of your movement.

More things have been popping up like that. In fact another voice has stepped up and has been getting the same treatment. This is Felicia Day’s tumblr blog post regarding why she hasn’t said anything about GamerGate until now.

I have been through a lot in my years on the internet. I have encountered a small fraction of the attacks from people like the ones who currently represent the worst of this “movement”. In the past, I worked through it alone because I felt shining a light on their words gave them exactly what they wanted: Attention and credibility. To say that their attacks and contempt didn’t set me back creatively would be a lie, but overall I got through the twists and turns, emotionally battered, but alright. My philosophy has always been, “Exist and represent yourself the way you want to exist as a woman who loves games, not as a reflection of what other people think or want of you. You will change minds by BEING. Show, don’t tell.” The attacks I experienced over the years were NOTHING compared to people who are the victims of these attacks now, but I still thought early on during the Gamer Gate phenomenon, “These trolls will dissipate into the night like they always do, it will be fine.”

Shortly after writing that she was later doxxed aka her phone number and address were posted in the comments (which were later removed after disabling comments).

One common thing I’ve noticed about the GamerGate thing is they tend to not only fight in circle jerk logic to tire people from arguing about the “bad apples”, but they tend to try and silence people who don’t agree with them even if it’s just suggesting to not be such big douchecanoes. Harsher if they happen to be female or feminist, which to these dudebros it seems to be one in the same. Basically agree with us or we’ll hunt you down/send death threats. yeah, way win people over. I’m guessing these were the same tactics they tried to use to find a insignificant other…

If there was even any shred of genuine desire to go after the gaming media for “ethics in game journalism” it died when these knuckle draggers became it’s face for the bowel movement. At this point it would be time to find a new thing to call yourselves. Most people are going to look at GamerGate and back as far the fuck away as possible.

Originally I wasn’t going to post about the whole GamerGate thing, mainly because the whole thing seemed so childishly stupid that I figured it wouldn’t last more than a week. Heh, that wouldn’t be the first time I’d find myself on the wrong side though. I forgot how the current generation tends to thrive on stupid.

For those who are fortunate to not know what GamerGate is I think it was covered quite nicely in this article:

Even if she did sleep with game reviewers to get a good review for a game that’s free… who the fuck cares? I mean seriously. Would they be saying the same thing if it was a guy? No, he’d be considered a stud. The only people I could see actually caring about this would be people who couldn’t get anywhere with women. Oops, I think I just described GamerGate. :v

I wouldn’t say that the term gamer is “dead” perse. But gaming has changed. It’s an ever evolving thing. Back in the old days you weren’t considered a gamer if you didn’t play board games, then you weren’t considered a real gamer if you didn’t play DnD, then later you weren’t considered a gamer if you didn’t play sidescrollers/platformers then FPS, etc etc. It’s becoming more inclusive. DEAL WITH IT.

Do I want to censor certain things from games? No! But if you’re going to have scantly clad women in a game I’d better see men wearing the same thing dammit. I mean equality, right? Here, lets make a goalpost.
