I’m a little confused. I made this video back in 2009:

Now, all of a sudden, a little over a decade from when I originally made it, I’m getting a bunch of comments. I’m not complaining, but wtf?! This was one of my earlier experiments with animation using Garry’s Mod and Source SDK. I always thought George Carlin’s voice was a good match for Breen, and apparently there are a few others who feel the same; with just as many wondering how in the hell they ended up on the weirdness that is my street of the YouTube universe.

Who knows? I might have to try recreating comedy performances in SFM. I just need the proper inspiration.

All Aboard The Party Bus!

This is going to be a vehicle for a small scene I’m working on. I’m not finished building it up to satisfaction but this is supposed to be a party bus, kinda sorta based off of an adventure we had in Garry’s Mod years ago involving a party bus that would take us to a magical place called “party church”. back in the days when Yutram used to give guided tours in the party bus along the Quebec side of GMod.

This was basically a digital new year’s party we held back in 2015… hard to believe it’s been so long. We had Fireworks, dancing, party church, music that surprisingly didn’t get copyrighted. Such innocent…ish times.

Sorry I haven’t posted much lately. I’m finally having a day off, and my head feels much clearer. I even celebrated by having a livestream with friends. I wanted to do something a little more sociable rather than Skyrim this evening, and goofing around in Sandbox with some buddies sounded like a good romp. We visited a couple custom maps, one is a near perfect recreation of Dragonsreach from Skyrim, and we also visited an extended version an abstract map. We also did some watermelon science during our stay in Dragonsreach. I managed to get myself infected with a watermelon virus (and no, that’s not why I have amazing melons in the thumbnail). I thought only NPC’s could catch it, but apparently once you contract the watermelon virus it will either cause you to shit out watermelons, or cause you to explode into watermelons. :rick:

It was nice to have a calm day where nothing went wrong… and hopefully I’ll have one more day just like that. :melon: Perhaps if I’m feeling good I’ll finish that one video I’ve been working on for fucking ever too! Perhaps after some other form of fucking about. :zorak:

Spending The Leap Year In Gmod

I didn’t queue this.

Decided to chill in the cinema tonight. We usually have a small “after party” after we finish watching videos with activities; such as riding a crazy couch from the lobby. It was nice just to chill tonight after a rough week of dealing with mental and physical agony. I look forward to being unconscious for as long as possible. :zorak:

Minecraft Is Blessed

Apparently the Vatican has their own Minecraft server.

Robert Ballecer, a Jesuit priest who has apparently carved out the name “Digital Jesuit” for himself online, has started a Minecraft server for the Vatican. Not to build it. No, just as a place to do all the normal Minecraft things that folks do but in a less “toxic” environment. Folks seem a bit surprised. The Catholic church doesn’t exactly have a pro-tech image so a Minecraft server probably sounds out of left field to many people. I’m not Catholic, but I did go to a Catholic school for four years. A Jesuit one specifically, even. If there’s one thing I know about Jesuits (but there are still plenty I don’t) it’s that this kind of dorky merging of tech and faith is extremely their thing.

I can’t say I’m entirely surprised; quite a few priests have been known to be connected to today’s youth, sometimes in more ways than one.. I would also like to assist the Vatican with making a Catholic Gmod Server. I already know of a good church (skip ahead to 2:50 to see):

In fairness, this shouldn’t be too surprising. The Vatican is known to have blockheads.

Late Night Weekend Open Thread

I got together with Yutram today and we hit the Gmod Cinema together to watch a few things, that would normally be too shameful to take outside of the basement, but we wanted to sit some place comfy. I also worked on some SFM posters:

I made a few posters in SFM afterwards. This one is going to be the thumbnail for the upcoming videos, those will be released in late November and early December… so I wasn’t lying when I said it would be before Christmas! In the meanwhile I’ve been readying myself for the upcoming Skyrim project. All my animation ideas have been jotted down, and I’ve already done a small bit of scene prep.

I’m long overdue for calling it a night, damn imagination…

Lazy Saturday

Had a short work day today. Been pretty much taking it easy most of the day, haven’t really been feeling too well. I made up a bowl of Pho and had a nap. Also spent some time with Yutram in the cinema this evening watching what was easily the best E3 presentation, once again by Devolver Digital of course. :v:

I always seem to enjoy their presentations the most for some reason.

Just Like Geralt!

For quite a few things I usually have to extract models from Garry’s Mod Workshop to place into SFM, and I wanted this particular version of Geralt for an image I was making. I’m not sure why but no matter what I did the torso just didn’t want to give up its ultimate bromance with Geralt’s neck. That’s ok… I didn’t want to sleep tonight anyway!

I did work on another video tonight (the above image doesn’t reflect on it in any way, this was just some last minute brainfart that needed to be expelled) and managed to get a scene done. I’ll probably continue onto the next one after I get off work tomorrow. I’m looking forward to this particular one, its a Left 4 Dead campaign Yutram and I played not too long ago, and there is enough footage for me to make quite a few fun videos. I contemplated on making one large video instead, but I find keeping things short for a short attention span world.

Our Gmod Server Is Simply Fabulous

I haven’t posted anything fabulous in awhile, so here’s DG and I keepin’ it real on my Sandbox server. We went map hopping today, did some bowling for a few seconds and got high in space when we were done.

Oh yes… there was also some romping around on the beach. DG and I tried some different playermodels for shits and giggles, speaking of shit…

Is it possible to get motion sick while staring at a Tangerine Ballsack?
