Weekend Of Linux Stuffs

My attempts to try and run this game into the ground have been futile. Other than issues with FOV during cutscenes Devil May Cry 5 continues to run, and at decent framerates despite the eyecandy being cranked to max. My attempts to mod this game on the other hand have proven to be a bit of an issue… I can install and run Vortex, but it only renders as a black window. I can also run Fluffy Manager 5000 but for some reason it doesn’t see the mod folder. Modding will take further science, but aside from that I’m still impressed with how well Devil May Cry 5 performs.

I’m also happy to report that I finally finished the 4th and final part of the Skyrim saga! I’m going to work on the video thumbnails tomorrow, and from there work out release dates, and of course start project prep for the Broforce vids.

I think I have everything pieced together the way I like. I’m running xfce with two tool bars. The one on the bottom is my Linux studio tools. I even installed Photoshop for shits and giggles, and the once in a blue moon chance I decide to use it. It kinda feels mac-ish sitting there on the desktop like that, only cooler looking because I’m outside of their walled garden. 😛

Now… I wonder what would be good for a future Linux livestream. 😛

Getting Skyrim (Oldrim) to run on a 144hz G-Sync Display

I sat down today and put some time aside to fix my Skyrim on the new laptop. My new ROG has a 144hz G Sync display, and Skyrim doesn’t play nice with high frame or refresh rates. I followed this guide and it did the trick. The local wildlife no longer has seizures around me, and I no longer randomly swim in midair.

Went into Skyrim today for project reasons. I installed a greenscreen and I need it for an upcoming video project. On my short trek into Whiterun I was reunited with the courier.

I was actually thrown off my guard a bit. I should be reminded everyday given his mug adorns one of my many random banners. But something about him changing his outfit was a small surprise. Given with what he had the last time I saw him.

Not that it matters… we all know Jarl Balgruuf has all the swag.

A Livestream A Day Keeps My Sanity At Bay

Last night I had fun losing myself in Skyrim, and tonight I had fun on another lesbian gaycation with best lesbian friend Yutram. We’ve decided to tackle the Commander Lillith DLC again, but with our Sirens instead of Mechronancers. It was either this or Bayonetta for the stream, and co-op sounded more fun.

Had time to do another livestream tonight. I figured I would save video work for tomorrow after I get home. I wanted to run more stream tests, and found that 6000 kbps wasn’t enough for what I was wanting to do. I’ve since up’d it to 10000 and that seems sufficient for 1080p 60fps. I’ll probably stream some more during my vacation, possibly even new things I haven’t tried before… at least out in the open.

Skyrim Belongs To The Fabulous!

I made it through another grueling week of work and work related depression. The first thing I did yesterday to start my weekend was clean my bedding, which would be my kryptonite come the evening. I slept for about 12 hours, and the worst part was that I got up at 8am and fell back asleep until 10am… I haven’t been getting much rest this past week and I can feel it. I’ve had a lot of freight to lift, especially yesterday… Then of course I did another Skyrim stream:

Unfortunately my restream chat decided to go tits up for me last night, so I could only see Twitch chat but not the YouTube one. I even had the YouTube chat on my tablet to try and read it, but it reloaded itself into a white screen. So to anyone on YouTube I’m sorry that I didn’t see any of your comments until after the stream. I woke up this morning and checked restream and it loads both of my chats now… I swear it did it just to spite me.

Mega Ultra Chicken

A few streams ago I turned a couple slaughter fish and some spiders into chickens, and last night when wandering a couple tombs that I hadn’t been through on this particular playthrough I had chickens randomly attacking me, and again while swimming. I think it might be reusing certain world ID’s for certain NPC’s, meaning there is always a chance that I might be attacked by chicken… and possibly another Mega Ultra Chicken in the future.

Sorry for not posting. It’s been a rough week between work and home, and I don’t want to go into detail on it right now. I’ve contemplated making a thread inspired by current events, but I’m not the mood to put it into words right now. I’ve been in my own world pretty much since I got home from work yesterday, even had the longest stream of over five hours so far. As soon as I’m in a better mood I’ll come out of my Cardboard Box and become a semi-regular member of society again.

I’ve spent today playing some different games. Like Bayonetta, a bit of Dark Souls and picked up Darkness II again. I managed to get a couple achievements, basically an FPS type game where you can not only kill people with guns but you can also kill them with your dark hentai powers and improve them with various skill trees. If I keep playing it I might have to do a write up about it.

Had another Skyrim stream this evening. I think I’ve cut up enough footage that I can start taking a pen and paper to write up what madness I’ll unleash in SFM. I haven’t figured out which video project will be my main squeeze yet, though perhaps tomorrow I can draw up the blue prints and determine which one would be the most suitable. I’m thinking in the future of having polls for people to vote in to determine what video I could focus on next, but that’s still a ways off. I would need to figure out what the best method would be.. perhaps implement a polling system.

Something I’ll have to research at a later date.
