Come To My Window

I got a late start in yesterday with one of the videos I plan to release further down the pipeline. I’ve also been mentally going over some of the things I might have to do in order to keep YouTube off of my arse. In case you haven’t heard YouTube is changing their rules due to COPPA and YouTube’s inability to keep their shit together. Channel creators now have to declare their channels as for kids or not for kids (but neither of the 4Kids), or do it on a video by video basis. I’ve pretty much marked my channel as a “not kids” channel; but in future videos I might start including warning intros to make it clear that my videos don’t target kids in any way whatsoever. One must be of a mature age before they can view my melon laden content.

Another Film In The Can

I finally finished another video! I had a couple private viewings and the consensus is that it’s good enough for release, it can be expected to release next month. Now to set plans in motion for the second installment, that one might be a faster piece to work on… it depends. I haven’t figured out how much of it I want to animate, if at all. It’s one of those videos that’s weird enough to possibly stand on its own, though at the very least I may discuss an ending. I might even release it before the one I just finished if I can put it together in time.

I can sleep on the rest.

One Week Later Into Next Month With One Extra Hour

Sorry for falling off of the earth again… Work kept me jumping most of last week between home and work work. I never even got a chance to send the damned packages off…. I wish I lived near a post office that didn’t close at 4:30pm. Will have to try it again tomorrow or the next day. Halloween was probably the busiest day, but I rocked my teeth again with style.

I was pretty tired by the end of the day, and I had to sacrifice my plans to do a Halloween livestream due to taking an earlier shift the next day. But I made up for that last night by finally streaming a fixed Bayonetta:

This easily has to be one of the craziest games I’ve ever played, and it’s so fun and bizarre. Seems to be a reoccurring style Platinum Games is known for when comparing to other titles, they’re not afraid to go over the top. I kinda want to go through all of the ones in my collection and just do comparisons between each in terms if similarities. They all have their differences, but in game mechanics and other nuanced details make their games feel almost interconnected in a way. It would be weird to get each platinum character together for a super fight, but you can somewhat do that already if you mod Smash Bros.

I also did a little sewing today. I had to fix up a couple sweaters that were losing their stitching in certain areas, then I did a little repair job on one of the many shirts I customized years ago. In the center of this V Neck used to be a clear crystal gem that broke recently from old age. I decided to replace it with one of the spare seashells from my craft collection. I really need to go through my wardrobe again and see if there’s anything that I can redecorate, been awhile since I’ve done that. It used to be one of the many things I had fun doing before entering adulthood, heh. Now that they’ve lax’d our dress code again I might have to let my creativity flow a little more.

I thought I’d also check out Far Cry 5. I plan to save that for another post, but suffice to say I’m quite happy with it despite having to make a uplay account… Runs quite nicely, got a good framerate the entire time on Ultra. Now I can relive parts of my vacation in Montana!

I managed to compile an ending for one of the upcoming videos next month. I have one more short animation and then I’ll be able to complete another video to add to my list of releases. I still plan on releasing a Bomberman video at the end of the month; The second part will be released on the first week of December and then this episode will follow shortly after. I originally wanted to complete all four videos before releasing the first one, but figured the way that I’m ending it works. I might even have another video to go by then to follow it, so who knows?

Anyways… Open Thread!

Saturday Evening Open Thread

Sorry for vanishing off the face of the earth, here is a stream I did last night:

It was a pretty successful stream. I had three people each between YouTube and Twitch, meaning six people total were entertained by my own twisted absent minded adventures. Other than that work has been tiring me already, and I’ve also been distracted with an SFM intro that I’ve been working on, it has almost 800 watermelons in it. I’m already a good chunk of the way through the scene, maybe about another day or two before I can move onto another. But for now it’s the weekend, time to focus my energies on other things.

I upgraded my tablet by buying another $1 store demo of our Amazon Fire HD8 not that long ago, and I finally decided to set it up today and give off my HD7 to my parents. I’ve been using my Fire Tablet for watching the restream chat (allowing me to watch Twitch, YouTube and Discord chats at the same time in one place) and I think the slightly larger display and resolution will be easier on my eyes…  if I’m lucky I might break it in tomorrow. 😛

Late Night Weekend Open Thread

I got together with Yutram today and we hit the Gmod Cinema together to watch a few things, that would normally be too shameful to take outside of the basement, but we wanted to sit some place comfy. I also worked on some SFM posters:

I made a few posters in SFM afterwards. This one is going to be the thumbnail for the upcoming videos, those will be released in late November and early December… so I wasn’t lying when I said it would be before Christmas! In the meanwhile I’ve been readying myself for the upcoming Skyrim project. All my animation ideas have been jotted down, and I’ve already done a small bit of scene prep.

I’m long overdue for calling it a night, damn imagination…

Cool the engines

I’ve officially finished up my videos! I will be releasing them next month, in the meantime I’ll start prepping for the first portion of the Skyrim saga. The first livestream session I’m picking through merits about four separate videos worth, already went through and wrote down a list of goofy things to animate for each one.

Tomorrow I’ll do a tiny bit of SFM, but I think I’ve earned a game break. I’ve been working on these videos ever since getting back from the trip, and I think I’ve earned some playtime. For now I’m just doing a little rearranging of some of my recordings before hitting the sack, making room for possibly more tomorrow. On the off chance that I do stream I’ll try and pick something Halloween themed, or at the very least mod a game into a Halloween utopia.

Your votes make a difference! Here are the results.

Thank you all for participating! Our winner appears to be Skyrim, with Broforce at a close 2nd and Crash Bandicoot in 3rd somehow. Then of course we have a three way tie for 4th between Okami, Shantae and Serious Sam; also there seems to be no love for Borderlands the Presequel or Deadpool… DaFuq? You guys could have had Yutram and I plotting to do something unspeakable to Claptrap and you mates fucking blew it! But regardless your votes are always appreciated, that info will keep me busy for quite awhile. :melon:

In fact here’s how I’m going to do things; I will work on one of my Skyrim sessions first, work one one of the Broforce sessions, and then the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy. Somewhere down the line I’ll hold another vote to try and pinpoint what to do next… something tells me Skyrim will be on that list for all eternity.

Right, back to work then.

Getting Closer

I have two more SFM renders to do and I’ll be finished with all animations for Part 2. Then comes rendering the image sequences and then arranging them appropriately for the final product. I already have Part 1 in the can, and there’s a good chance I’ll be able to finish it tomorrow, or at the very least come close. Tomorrow will be the last day of vacation, already having to take deep breaths to mentally prepare myself for what hell lies in my wake. I’ll have to remind myself to prepare my work clothes (which are pretty much a random and some jeans), a meal bar and to brew my work tea… I’m thinking something with red berries, or maybe an island fruit spiced one.

Meanwhile… somewhere in the Overlord’s imagination

I had a late sleep in for the first time in what feels like an eternity. It stormed a bit today,  which for me is natures’ white noise machine. I stayed in my imagination and got some work done. I compiled some animated clips, and I’m getting ready to add some finishing polish to another scene before exporting an image sequence, and I am in need of some warmth at the moment… who needs heating when you have a super computer? I might even have SFM export another sequence while I sleep… just to get some extra work done.
