It was one of those rare Saturday evenings where the planets aligned long enough to do a little multiplayer! We played a bit of Serious Sam Fusion, got some achievo’s and even had a stranger join in on the fun! It’s one of those FPS’s that’s next to impossible to find assholes in. We played on Mental difficulty with infinite ammo, it was a literal blast! It’s a good thing we didn’t turn out deaths into a drinking game, or we wouldn’t have lived to take our final shots.
Serious Sam Fusion 2017
Serious Sam: The Friendly Encounter
One of my favorite things to do at the start of Second Encounter (Fusion Beta 2017) is to lure enemies into the lake. They don’t know how to swim, and eventually they’ll explode into blood or pretty flowers and fruit depending on how you have the game set… that’s usually how it goes anyway, with the exception of this fellow.
I tried to entice him to go after me, but all he wanted to do was stand around,. I did manage to knock him into the water thanks to another Gnaar and strategic placement.
Of course, the Gnaar wasn’t the only one being friendly with me. I made my way through the canyon and ran across this guy, standing around not doing his fucking job of trying to kill me!
You Got Team Fortress 2 In My Serious Sam!
I wanted to start this weekend with some silliness. Yutram and I went onto one of the Serious Sam Workshops (Fusion 2017 specifically) and decided to mix things up by playing with TF2 weapons in survival and co-op. It was fun, and in some ways really educational.
Aside from having a couple TF2 mods installed I also have a separate double jump mod, and as an added side effect I can somewhat jump infinitely around any map. It isn’t perfect; sometimes the jump button will stop working, but since there is no fall damage you can just jump back up to your heart’s content.
I mainly played with the Scout and Engineer modes. There was something about jumping around the map avoiding enemies that seemed fun to me, as well as dropping sentries in certain areas while I ate my ice cream and watched Mental’s minions die.
I anticipate that we will have to stream this.
Happy 4/20! Here are some livestreams
To celebrate 4/20 I did a couple long overdue livestreams today:
Today felt like a good day to explore and blow things up with good friends and company. I’ve been pretty much disappearing into my own world after reading and enduring my daily allowance of depression lately… there is something about being surrounded by people who think this whole thing is fake or overblown, and wanting to open the country again just to get your hair dyed canary yellow just boggles my mind. It’s also one of the reasons why I haven’t been posting much. I’ve pretty much been taking it leisurely today, because I know the next work week for me is going to be hell. They want me to work 6 days in a row, but at least I’ll have two days off in a row at the end of it. I’ve put in for my vacation (again) and hopefully I’ll stand a better chance of getting it. I’m really getting sick of that place.
The Christmas Game Hop
Well, we’re in the official holiday season. A time to enjoy warm beverages, holiday sweets, getting close with friends and family, and murder sprees!
I kicked off the weekend by playing a custom Left 4 Dead campaign with Yutram the other night, and wow…
I’m pretty sure this was a troll campaign from start to finish. We didn’t get any good weapons until the end, and what really amused me aside from the 50 tanks hidden throughout the campaign was there actually being ammo in certain places, which we couldn’t use because we had only pistols… then when we got half way through the campaign we did finally get some Tier 1 weaponry, but suddenly ammo was scarce.
I also decided to tackle the holiday DLC for Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, and all I got was this lousy hat. Actually this was just a map that already existed in the game, but was redecorated and released as free DLC for the holidays. Defeating Satan Claus gets you that hat achievement. That was one of my favorite levels from the regular game, and given that it was free I can’t really argue about it either. It was fun all around.
I also hopped around different Serious Sam games and found a few mods here and there. I also went around Killing Floor 2 for a bit and got some holiday achievements. It felt therapeutic after a physically and mentally grueling week for quite a few of us at work, and playing these with spiked tea and eggnog was a nice little escape before returning to reality to do it all again.
My Weekend Arriveth
Weekend time has begun, starting it off right by having a couple drinks PLUS a little bit of multiplayer Serious Sam (Fusion 2017). I’m not sure what I’ll do tomorrow, but I think I’ll chill and play some games… original idea I know… :v: Hope everyone else is having a good weekend.
